About Miki
Words to live by: “If I move, the world will move with me.”
Miki was born in Naha, Okinawa in 1972 and after University study returned and lives there to this day. She is a mother to two children, Founder of the Hoiku Suketto in Naha, Founding Director of the Niji-no-Hashi fund, Director of NPO Kodomo Shelter Okinawa, Director of NAP Okinawa as well as holding many other roles.
Miki wishes to create a society in which adults can support the children of Okinawa, regardless of their background, in fulfilling their dreams and becoming their ideal selves. As each new day dawns, countless people wake up to sadness and pain. She hopes to make the kind of world that places a gentle, comforting hand on their shoulder.
Her dream is a society in which everyone can recognize each other's differences, sing and dance and joke together, and always keep a spirit of fun in their hearts.
