Born in Awaji Island, Japan. Ceramic artist.

 

Born as the eldest son of an onion farmer, Koichi grew up together with nature.

 

He met his former teacher and was culture-shocked by his attitude toward life.

 

He built a climbing kiln at the age of 25, and has continued to fire the kiln for four days and nights within the vibrant nature of Awaji Island.

 

Saved by philosophy after the death of his former teacher, he is currently working on the Traditional Crafts x NFT project and analyzing his own work using synchrotron radiation at a national research institute.

 

He practices philosophy to convey new appeal and attraction to his craft.
