About David
Kpondehou Christian David, known as "The African Samurai," is originally from the Republic of Benin and has been living in Japan for nine years. He founded Africa Diaspora Network Japan (ADNJ) to bring together African and Japanese people, entrepreneurs, and institutions through business, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment. His Japan journey started on Awaji Island, through the Pasona – Awaji Youth Federation.
Over the years, his work connecting Africa and Japan has taken him to the U.S.–Africa Leaders Summit, invited by the White House, and earned him official recognition from the Prime Minister of Japan at TICAD 9. In 2025, he was named to the BPIA Power 50 List by Black Professionals in International Affairs, recognizing 50 global leaders of the African diaspora driving impact across industries.
