Born in Kyoto in 1945. She graduated from the Department of English and Literature at Kyoto Notre Dame University and is currently the president of ITC-J (International Training in Communication Japan), and she is a member of the Ashiya and Ibaraki Toastmasters. She won the Cosmopolitan Speech Contest at the ITC Seattle Convention.
